Spray Tan

A spray tan is a sunless tanning method that uses a fine mist of a chemical solution to temporarily darken the skin

  • How it works: A chemical called dihydroxyacetone (DHA) reacts with amino acids in the skin to darken the top layer of skin cells

  • Safety: FDA approved for external use

  • How long it lasts: Can last from a few hours to several days(7-10 days), depending on the type of product used

  • How it's applied: A Sunless Tan artist will usually apply the formula by spraying the rest of your body

  • Preparation: You may need to exfoliate your skin, apply barrier cream to your hands and feet, and wear a bikini (more information will be giving via email after booking).

  • Aftercare: Avoid getting wet or showering for at least 4 hours

  • Traditional Vs Rapids: Rapid tans, also known as express tans, are more forgiving than traditional tans and allow you to control how dark your tan gets. You can rinse off the bronzer after a rapid tan, but the full tan will develop over the next 12–24 hours

Spray tans are a popular alternative to traditional tanning and are considered a safer way to get an even tan. However, they don't protect you from overexposure to the sun and need to be reapplied regularly to maintain a steady color
